Rain Couldn’t Stop Us
Posted on November 30, 2011
Of course it’s raining. Of COURSE! I’ve had to re-schedule a TON of sessions this fall ~ only seems to rain when I have to be shooting. So I called Jackie to find out if they wanted to re-schedule their family session since we were in the middle of a downpour. I also suggested that maybe we could just shoot in and around their house and maybe even go OUT in the rain….if the kids wanted to.
I’ve never actually shot a session IN the rain before, but I always thought it would be fun. But this isn’t MY family photos we’re talking about….and I tend to be a little crazy.
“What the heck, let’s do it!” she agreed.
Love her. And her husband.
And their KIDS!! I’m gonna shut up now and let you look at how adorable they are. It’s a shame they have no personality whatsoever. ;)

How is that?!
Brooke ~ Senior 2012

I LOVE when girls have ideas about their shoot! Seriously…I love new ideas. I love being challenged and pushed to new places. THAT is what keeps me on my toes, people.
Brooke wanted to incorporate her love for dance and surfing into her Senior Shoot so we went down to Ventura Beach. As if just being a surfer or just being a salsa dancer wasn’t enough! ;) Ok, I might be a *tad* jealous. Just a little….
Well, not only did we have entirely too much fun getting these shots, we got some really great stuff. But really, how could I not with such a gorgeous girl and a surf board and the beach? ;) I’m a lucky photographer for sure.

That’s just a small taste – see them all in her slideshow: (hint, click on the “full screen” version – much better)
and thanks to the lovely Jami Cox for her makeup awesomeness, as always!!
