I’ve been buried under mounds of editing for the past couple of weeks, so I haven’t been posting all that much. You may have seen my previous post regarding our trip to Descanso Gardens for part one of our photography badge ~ back in March. We had a blast and the girls loved running around with cameras, taking pictures of each other, the gorgeous flowers, etc. When I looked through Avery’s photos (all 200 of them!) I was stunned at her “eye”….I was amazed at the things she saw – that I had not even noticed. I found that to be the case with all the other girls too! I loved seeing their perspective on the day….so different from mine.
We got together this past Sunday to edit their photos – I had them choose 6 or so of their favorite shots and I taught them how to do some simple editing using Lightroom (Beta 3 – can’t wait for the new release). I didn’t edit any of these ~ this is ALL them. The bee in one of Avery’s shots is so cool – it took 6 or 7 tries for her to get it…the beauty of digital photography! Keep in mind, too, that other than Avery’s, these were not shot with professional cameras – just point and shoots! Amazing!
